A blog to document the saving of a contributing historic home

Vacant. Waiting.

Do you ever wonder how it is that old homes and buildings fall prey to becoming vacant and dilapidated storage units? It’s a pet-peeve of mine. I’m all for property rights. And owner’s rights. But come on. These “storage units” need maintenance. And deserve some love.

Happily, the story of 152 Charles is on track for a new lease on life. And so are we, as owners. Wish us luck. Watch with us as we document the transformation of the home. She’s been vacant for decades. She was once full of life. She’s been waiting. The wait is over!
